Children infant and older

Open to single woman and couples

Children being referred are from orphanages. Most of the children available for adoption have been placed in the orphanage system by one or both parents. Parents who have voluntarily placed their child in the orphanage are generally unable to provide for their child/children due to economic, social or medical problems. Children may also be placed in the orphanage as the result of parents rights being terminated or because of the death of a parent(s). It is common for children to have a diagnosis indicating delays in development. Social histories and health histories may be scanty. It is expected that children who have been institutionalized will have delays in development. A dossier is required. This country requires two short trips. The first trip requires two business days and is to accept a referal. The second trip is generaly 30 days later to complete the adoption. The expected stay is 7 days. Presently, referrals are generally taking less than four months.

The family is completely guided throuth the process with an incountry coordinator.
